Terms
The agreement.
These terms govern your use of ClipForge. Creating an account means you accept them. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you are confirming you may bind it.
The short version
- You are responsible for having the rights to the footage you put through ClipForge.
- You own what you make. We do not claim your videos.
- Plans renew monthly and you can cancel any time, effective at the end of the period.
- A run rejected by the retention gate does not consume a render.
- We can suspend an account that is being used to break the law or damage the service.
A summary is not the agreement. The sections below are.
1. Who this is between
This agreement is between you and Jainil Ramji ("ClipForge", "we", "us"). Contact: switchjainil@gmail.com.
2. What the service does
ClipForge takes footage you supply or authorise, cuts it into short-form vertical video according to a format you choose, scores the planned result against a retention model, and — if you connect a channel — uploads the finished video to YouTube on your behalf.
Automated scoring, clip selection and generated titles are software making judgements. They will sometimes be wrong. Review what is produced before it goes out under your name; you remain the publisher.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old.
- Give an email address that reaches you. Account notices go there.
- Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account until you tell us it is compromised.
- One person or organisation per account. Do not resell access or share credentials.
- Tell us promptly at switchjainil@gmail.com if you think someone else has got in.
4. Footage, rights and ownership
This is the section that matters most, so it is written plainly.
What you keep
You own the footage you upload and you own the videos ClipForge produces from it. We claim no ownership of either. You grant us only the licence we need to run the service — to store, process, encode and transmit your content in order to produce and publish your videos, and for no other purpose. That licence ends when you delete the content or the account.
We do not use your footage or your finished videos to train models, and we do not show them to anyone else.
What you are promising us
By putting footage through ClipForge you confirm that you hold the rights to use it that way, or that its licence permits it. That is your responsibility and it cannot be delegated to us.
Re-cutting somebody else's video does not give you the right to it. Editing footage does not move the copyright, and Content ID matches the content itself regardless of who uploaded it or how it was cut. If you source clips you do not have rights to, the claim, the strike and the consequences land on your channel, not on ours. ClipForge records the source and licence of every clip it uses so you can check — but it cannot make unlicensed footage safe, and it does not pretend to.
Publishing to YouTube
When you connect a channel you authorise us to upload to it on your behalf. Videos are uploaded private by default; making one public is your decision. Your channel remains subject to YouTube's own terms and community guidelines, which we have no control over and cannot waive. You can disconnect the channel at any time, which deletes the token we hold for it.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use ClipForge to:
- infringe copyright, trade marks, privacy or any other right;
- produce sexual content involving minors, or any material whose creation or possession is illegal;
- harass a person, or create content designed to defame or impersonate someone;
- generate misinformation presented as fact about real people or events;
- evade a platform's moderation, spam a channel, or manufacture artificial engagement;
- probe, scan, overload or interfere with the service or its infrastructure;
- circumvent plan limits, rate limits or the retention gate, whether by scripting the API or otherwise;
- resell, sublicense or white-label the service without a written agreement;
- reverse engineer the service, except where law says you may.
6. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close an account that breaches section 5, that threatens the security or stability of the service, or that is being used unlawfully. Where it is reasonable and lawful to do so we will warn you first and give you a chance to put it right. Where the breach is serious — illegal content, an active attack on the service, or repeated infringement — we may act immediately.
If we close your account for a breach, unused prepaid time is not refunded. If we close it for any other reason, we refund the unused portion of the current period. You can close your own account at any time from the app; deletion is immediate and irreversible.
Copyright complaints
If you believe content produced through ClipForge infringes your copyright, write to switchjainil@gmail.com identifying the work, the material complained of, your contact details, and a statement that you hold the rights and are complaining in good faith. We investigate every notice, remove infringing material we host, and close the accounts of repeat infringers.
7. Plans, payment and refunds
- Free. Three videos a month, watermarked, no scheduling. No card required.
- Starter. £12/mo, 40 videos a month, daily automation.
- Pro. £39/mo, 300 videos a month, priority rendering.
Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled. Prices are shown before you pay and exclude any tax that applies where you are. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the plan runs to the end of the period you have already paid for, and monthly fees already paid are not pro-rated.
Render allowances reset at the start of each billing period and do not carry over. A run the retention gate rejects does not count against your allowance — that is the point of the gate.
We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email. If you do not want the new price, cancel before it takes effect.
If you are a consumer in the UK or EU you normally have 14 days to cancel a digital service. By starting a render inside that window you ask us to begin immediately and acknowledge you lose the right to withdraw once the service has been fully performed. This does not affect your rights if what we supplied was faulty.
8. Availability
We work to keep ClipForge running, but it is provided without an uptime guarantee. Maintenance, upstream outages at our hosting provider, and changes to the YouTube or Stripe APIs can all interrupt it. We may change or withdraw features; if we discontinue something you are paying for, we will tell you and refund the unused portion of your period.
9. Warranties
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that a video will perform, that the retention score predicts an outcome, or that uploads will always succeed.
10. Liability
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
Subject to that, we are not liable for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or indirect or consequential loss; and our total liability arising out of this agreement in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or £100.
You are responsible for claims arising from footage you supplied or videos you published — including copyright claims from a rights holder — and you agree to cover our reasonable costs in defending such a claim where it results from your breach of section 4 or 5.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For material changes we will email the address on your account at least 30 days beforehand. Continuing to use ClipForge after a change takes effect means you accept it; if you do not, close your account and we will refund the unused portion of your current period.
12. Law and disputes
This agreement is governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law of your own country, and you may bring proceedings there.
Please raise a dispute with us first at switchjainil@gmail.com. Most things are settled faster by email than by anyone's lawyer.
13. General
- If a provision is unenforceable, the rest stands.
- Not enforcing something once does not waive it.
- You may not assign this agreement without our consent; we may assign it as part of a sale or reorganisation of the business.
- These terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, are the whole agreement between us.
- Nobody other than you and us has rights under this agreement.
